It is with much regret that we have to record the death of the Choir’s very first accompanist, Margaret, wife of our Founder-Conductor Donald Maxwell- Timmins.
The funeral will be held at Park Wood Crematorium on Monday 24 October at 1.30 pm.

At the Choir’s Silver Jubilee Concert on Saturday 8 October Choir Chairman Carol Armitage presented a cheque for £6,000 to Val Steele, Chair of Overgate Hospice. This presentation brings the amount the Choir has raised for the Hospice since its formation in 1991 to £283,626. The Choir performed The Creation by Haydn, repeating the repertoire from the Choir’s very first concert in October 1991. The 2016 concert was conducted by Dr Simon Lindley with the National Festival Orchestra, soloists Ella Taylor, Paul Dutton and Thom Meredith and Alan Horsey at the organ.

For the afternoon rehearsal we should arrive at All Saints’ Church , Elland at 1.30 to be seated at 1.45. The rehearsal will start at. 2.00 and finish around 3.00- 3.30. For the evening performance we should be in the church by 6.40.
